To no surprise, a new wellness trend has swept the internet and our news feeds yet again — except this time, this trend isn't really that new at all. We're talking about intermittent fasting, or IF, a pattern of eating that involves intentional, longer periods of fasting followed by shorter periods of eating. IF has been around for hundreds of years across many cultures and religions, and now has become popular in mainstream society, too. 

We're not going to lie though, IF is kind of confusing. When are you supposed to eat and when are you supposed to fast? What is even the point of it all?
