What are your tips for a host who wants to cook, but also wants to spend time with guests?
"I'm all about that prepping-ahead life. Recipes in my book, like the bruschetta bar and the California girl cheese board, allow you to prep EVERYTHING ahead of time so when your guests arrive, you get to spend time with them instead of slaving over the stove. I also firmly believe in keeping things simple. No need to make 12,312 recipes for a party. Pick 3-4 that are manageable and let those shine."
