Okay, so Aladdin definitely perpetuated the classic Disney trope that pretending to be someone other than yourself will succeed in helping you find true love. Aladdin did, after all, lie about his stature as a "street rat" to win Jasmine's affections. That said, three cheers for inclusivity, people. Although overtly racist implications run rampantly through the film — like Jafar's appearance, for one — we've still got a Middle Eastern Disney princess, and that was everything to me as a kid.
