12. Learn to prepare multiple meals ahead of time
Along the same lines as making a menu, meal prep takes a lot of the stress out of feeding your family. While it can be overwhelming to cook ahead in the beginning, start simple by making an extra night’s portion of something fun on the weekend. Then, on a busy weeknight, all you have to do is pop the meal in the oven and you’re set for something healthy and tasty.

If you’re ready for more advanced preparation, try making lunches for a few days ahead. The more you can save yourself time during the week, the more relaxing your evenings are going to feel.
