13. Try mason jar salads and smoothies
If you’re on a mission to mix more healthful options into the rotation, add mason jar salads and smoothies to your weekly menu. They’re easy to prepare ahead of time and provide the opportunity for more fruits and veggies in your family’s diet. For mason jar salads, make sure to put the wetter and heavier items on the bottom of the jar with the more perishable items, like lettuce up top. When it’s time for lunch just shake and dump in a bowl. Easiest salad ever.
