3. Bundle Packages Work
I was always a skeptic when it came to bundled packages - I felt like they were just clever ways for travel sites to sell you more products. That is until my friend found a rountrip flight and a swanky hotel in the heart of French Quarter for four days for a whopping $280. That price made my heart to cartwheels out of pure thriftiness.

But that doesn't mean it will always be cheaper. What you should do is 1) check the bundled deals, 2) check how the price adds up when you book a flight and the cheapest hotel separately, and 3) if you're okay with hostels, see how the price looks when you book a flight and a hostel. Only then can you be sure you got the most bang for your buck.
