11. Victorian Women Hid Cosmetics In Pharmacy Boxes
Since being caught with makeup was basically social suicide, women had to hide their cosmetics from the watchful eyes of their husbands, fathers, and even help. In order to do that, they would buy medicine boxes from the pharmacy, and load them up with their blushes and face powders instead of aspirins. No one would be the wiser if they saw it in their room.
