Anita Loos
Anita Loos is credited as the first-ever staff scriptwriter, earning the title when D.W. Griffith put her on his payroll at Triangle Film. Even though she wrote over 200 scripts, penned the blockbuster novel Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and helped turn Jean Harlow and Audrey Hepburn into the memorable stars we know today, she has never, not once, been nominated for an Oscar.
