Things you make sure to pack for a quick jaunt to a blistering cold Park City, Utah to attend the 2014 Sundance Film Festival? A puffer down coat, furry snow boots, wool scarves, insulated gloves, thermal underwear, and earmuffs. (Basically all of your winter weather essentials.) Things you should go ahead and leave behind? The majority of your makeup kit.
We've been scoping the Sundance scene since last Thursday, and apparently most A-list ladies (think Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Chloe Grace Moretz, Selena Gomez, Ashley Greene, Rooney Mara, and Anna Kendrick) gave their makuep artists the week off. Save for a few lashings of bright lipstick here and there, the no-makeup makeup look is currently reigning supreme. (Easy + breezy does it when 35°F is the daily high temperature up on the slopes.)
Typically created with a few coats of lengthening mascara, a swipe of flesh-tone lip balm, a dab of an orange-tinged blush, and a dollop of lightweight foundation, we're guessing starlets are relying on CC cream to create their beautifully 'barely there' faces. It not only covers blemishes and conceals minor imperfections while hydrating dry, irritated skin (a likely issue at such a high altitude), this trumped up tinted moisturizer also refines pores and mattifies shine so skin doesn't look overly greasy in photos (quite likely another top concern).
