Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is Dramatically Different Starting This August
(Danica Lo / StyleBistro) Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion gets reformulated in 2013
If millions of women all around the world are to be believed, Clinique's iconic Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is one of the world's best beauty products—and most popular to boot, with one sold worldwide every four seconds. This August, 45 years after it first debuted—the first dermatologist-developed moisturizer and, over the past four decades, the number-one best-selling prestige skincare product in the United States—Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is getting an overhaul. And what was once great is now even better.
"The world has changed," says Clinique's Senior Vice President of Global Product Development Janet Pardo. "Skincare technology has changed. And so we have changed."
The new Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + will debut on makeup counters around the world this August—and it took three formulating dermatologists, 53 researchers, and over 100 trials to get it just right. The new iteration of the classic yellow lotion also yields impressive clinical results—a 54 percent improvement in skin's barrier strength in eight weeks of use and double the moisturization levels of the original lotion, without any added oil. It includes ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and urea—all known for helping skin attract, hold onto, and boost moisture.
Look for Clinique's brand-new Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + on counters this August. It'll retail for $26 for 4.2 oz. We love it—and are just as obsessed with it as we were the first time we laid eyes on it, back when we were 13.
