The past few days have been quite the whirlwind for Behati Prinsloo.
Not only did the 24-year-old Victoria's Secret model just land one of the most covetable roles for the brand—she's the face of VS's newest fragrance, Victoria—she also, as we're sure you've heard by now, landed one of the hardest-to-nab rockers in Hollywood—she's newly engaged to Adam Levine!
"It was, what can I say, amazing! It was beautiful!" she told us of Adam's proposal at her fragrance launch last week. Which, we've got say, Prinsloo's equally elated over. She actually teared up while delivering a heartfelt speech about how much the fragrance and the brand mean to her. Bless!
Take a peek at her fun-loving campaign for the scent—it's not hard to see why she steals so many hearts—and read on for the rest of her interview, after the jump.
StyleBistro: You were so adorable up there on stage! Clearly this fragrance means the world to you.
Behati Prinsloo: I got so emotional up there because VS is such a big part of my life, and having them come to me being like, you're the perfect person, you're what we want to embody in this fragrance, just be yourself—it means everything!
SB: We're sure! Tell us, what do you love most about the scent?
BP: I don't know why, maybe it's the sentimental value behind it all, but I love roses. Every girl loves a rose. And this scent blends five roses together, plus creme brulee, red berries, it's such a good scent. I've been wearing it all day, like, "It's my scent!"
SB: Totally right, every girl does love a good rose. Which kind are you most smitten for?
BP: Red roses are always amazing. I do love white roses. Gold, red, white, pink—I mean, all of them! Yellow roses, too, they're beautiful. [Side note: Who wants to bet roses will be at her wedding? Any wagers on the color?]
SB: Last but not least, what are your three makeup must-haves of the moment?
BP: A really good red lipstick, Chanel makes a great one—that deep red. Also a good mascara, I love the purple one by Maybelline [Volum'Express The Falsies]. And RMS Beauty by Rose-Marie Swift, she's a makeup artist that works with me. I see her all the time, and she invented this organic, super-creamy makeup line that's amazing!
