Go ahead and add Marchesa to the long list of designers—Alber Elbaz, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, maaaybe Gucci—making their foray into the beauty biz. (And then do a happy twirl in one of your swishy Marchesa gowns!)
According to a report in WWD, Marchesa is teaming up with Revlon on a collection of nail polishes, lip colors, eye makeup, nail art, and beauty tools. First on the list to launch? Revlon by Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliques (see, above left), a range of eight nail decals inspired by the glitz and glamour of Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig's couture designs.
The collection is slated to hit overseas in the UK first (womp) this September—just in time for the label's New York Fashion Week show, where Revlon's artistic director Gucci Westman will work her magic backstage—and subsequently will roll out in the U.S. starting in October.
Sounds like E!'s Mani Cam is about to get a whole lot more bling-y, eh? If that's really even possible...
