(Getty, PacificCoastNews)Spice up your lids with the hottest hue for fall: burgundy. We've spotted this wine red color on a number of Hollywood A-listers. See these celeb trendsetters—and their eye-popping peepers—below.
(Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images North America)We first noticed the burgundy trend way back in May when Kristen Stewart covered her lids in a rich berry hue, which matched her Stella McCartney jumpsuit, mind you! The bold shade spanned her whole lid and even extended further out to form a not-so-subtle smoky eye that made her green stare pop.
(PacificCoastNews.com)Kaley Cuoco took the burgundy trend to a dramatic new level at the 2013 Emmy Awards. The star showed off her killer curves in a cranberry Vera Wang gown that demanded red carpet attention. To complement her eye-catching evening wear, Cuoco swiped on a two-toned burgundy shade across her entire lid. The result: a purply cranberry hue that was nothing short of piercing.

Last week the beauty opted for a smoky version of the look for her appearance at the New York Film Festival premiere of Her. Similar to K-Stew, Mara has fair porcelain skin and envy-worthy green eyes, and a rich burgundy shadow only enhances these two naturally stunning features.

Chloe Grace Moretz's version of the red shadow is less potent than the others and in fact, it verges on the dark chocolate end of the burgundy spectrum. Nonetheless, it's still a look we can totally get behind. And raise a glass to!
