Brand Spotlight: Ash + Ames
This luxury jewelry line collaborates with female artisans from all over the world.
We're huge fans of giving back, so when we found out that the gorgeous gems from newly launched jewelry brand Ash+Ames were socially conscious, we were sold. The covetable luxury pieces are made in partnership with female designers from all over the globe—from India to France to New York City—and provide artisans with a platform to reach a new customer base.
Haiti is of notable interest to founders Trisha Ashworth and Amy Nobile (authors of the book series I Was A Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids). In addition to sponsoring an 18-year-old girl for a year through the Art Creation Foundation for Children—she will learn English, take computer classes and more—the company has featured the Haitian Wood Choker ($150), Haitian Wood Cuff ($160) and Haitian Black Leather Knot Bracelet ($150) on its site. All proceeds from those sales will be donated back to the foundation.
To empower women even further, the brand launched an ambassador program to allow ladies to start a new chapter in their lives. Women who choose to host Ash+Ames events have the option to donate 10 percent of their retail sales to a charity of their choosing. With gorgeous 14-karat gold-plated pieces starting at $95, this is one site we'll be visiting often for stylish new accessories with a moral compass.
