Mindy McCready, the troubled country singer whose battles with addiction and abusive relationships have been very publicly chronicled over the course of her 16-year-strong career, was found dead in her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas, this weekend. While the cause of death has not been officially confirmed, sources say that the singer commited suicide by shooting herself.

McCready first rose to fame in 1996 with the release of her first album, Ten Thousand Angels, which spawned four country chart singles: "Ten Thousand Angels," "Guys Do It All The Time," "Maybe He'll Notice Her Now," and "A Girl's Gotta Do (What a Girl's Gotta Do)." She was briefly engaged to Dean Cain from 1997 to 1998. In January, last month, her boyfriend David Wilson died at the age of 34. No explanation has been disclosed for his death.
