Vote! Who Was the Best Dressed Celebrity at the 2015 Emmy Awards?
Was it Kerry Washington, Lady Gaga, Lena Headey, Emma Roberts, or Viola Davis?
The Emmy Awards are always an exciting time for small screen stars to break out all the stops in glamor, and this year's show was no different. The glitz, the glam and the utterly gorgeous were on full display as the stars made their appearances and graciously accepted awards.
First we have actress Kerry Washington looking fabulous as ever in sparkling metallic gray couture straight from the runway at New York Fashion Week. Literally. This sheer and spangled silver Marc Jacobs gown, complete with a leg-baring slit and iconic shoulder-pad action, looks just as stunning, if not more so, on Washington as it does on the spring 2016 runway – and with a 4-day turnaround between its appearance on the catwalk and at the Emmys, no less!
Next we have singer Lady Gaga looking beyond glamorous while rocking this chic black gown and platinum locks on the red carpet. The performer usually goes for a far more edgy (to say the least) look than this, but we're loving how classically beautiful she looks here.
It's clear that Game of Thrones star Lena Headey looks nothing like her character on the show (at least when it comes to choice of hair and fashion), but still all kinds of beautiful last night. The bodice of her dazzling burgundy gown fit her like a glove, and that train! So gorg. The gown sparkled in all the best ways as Headey and the rest of the Game of Thrones cast took the stage to accept not one, not two, but twelve well-deserved (and record-breaking!) Emmys.
We're convinced starlet Emma Roberts couldn't look bad if she tried, and you'd be hard put to deny that here. In a glossy cream gown with a floor-grazing train and plunging neckline, the young actress looked drop-dead gorgeous. With her platinum blonde locks swept to one side, she pulled off this graceful and classic style with ease.
Actress Viola Davis won our hearts last night, both style-wise and literally in breaking history, as the first woman of color to win best actress for a drama series. When it comes to fashion, she seriously stepped up her game in stunning black and white couture. And in winning the Emmy for her show How to Get Away With Murder, well – consider us Team Viola!
