Celebrities—they get to rake in the big bucks because they work soooo hard, right?

"People have this preconceived notion of me that I didn’t work hard to get where I am," ex-reality television star Lauren Conrad told Teen Vogue in 2010.

What she should have mentioned is that a whole lot of her working hours are dedicated to keeping her famous head of hair groomed and styled!

In an interview with StyleCaster this week, Conrad confesses that it takes her up to SEVEN HOURS to style her hair.

"My hair takes seven hours," Conrad told the website, "so sometimes we’ll order take out and drink champagne. We also like to fool around a bit, so it probably takes a lot longer than it should!"

What we want to know is—why on earth does Lauren Conrad's hair take seven hours to do? Sure, her hair is gorgeous—it's long and healthy. But, for the most part, Conrad wears her hair in super-simple styles—loose and waved with a wand or curling iron, up on a loose top-knot, or in ponytails. Seriously, this takes seven hours?

What do you think? Do you think it's ever worth spending seven hours doing your hair? Shouldn't there be some elaborate result if you do spend seven hours a day doing your hair? Sound off in the comments!
