Vote! Who Was the Best Dressed Celebrity at the 72nd Venice Film Festival?
Was it Dakota Johnson, Diane Kruger, Elizabeth Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio, or Zhang Yan?
We've seen our fair share of gorgeous couture at the 72nd Venice Film Festival so far, but which celebrity was the best dressed? First we have actress Dakota Johnson of 50 Shades of Grey fame in attendance at the 'Black Mass' photocall at the Palazzo del Casino in Venice, Italy. We love the structured, cape-like bodice and sleeves of the dress. It's complete with a paneled, mesh design, that is then gathered at the waist and continues down for a flowing yet flattering appearance.
Next we have talented actress Diane Kruger looking to-die-for (as always) in this stunning Prada gown. With an embellished train and sparkling cut-outs just under her arms, she looks every inch the elegant goddess she is. With an almost-retro curled updo, minimal makeup, and a simple silvery clutch that pairs perfectly with the white and silver tones of the dress, Kruger looks classically beautiful here.
Well, hello, Elizabeth Banks! The starlet revs it up a notch in this amazing Elie Saab dress she wore at the Beasts of No Nation premiere on Thursday evening. The pseudo-cape design seem to be having a serious moment right now, and Banks is no exception! The movement of the dress is just superb – and not to mention that daring, leg-baring hemline. While in the past she seems to have balked against changing up her hairstyle, we absolutely love what she's done with her hair here (that partially shaved-side look? So chic). Throw some strappy black heels on, and she's good to go.
Only a Victoria's Secret Angel could pull off this dress – so it's a good thing supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio is the one wearing it. It has an almost lingerie-like appearance with the sheer train and slices of skin revealed by the cutouts at her waist. But oh, is she working it – the model looks like a total princess in this.
Actress Zhang Yan looks like a haute couture mermaid in this off-white floor-grazing gown she wore to the Everest Premiere on Wednesday. Just take a look at that fluttery fringe on the hem! Those exaggerated bell-shaped sleeves! Her long, cascading hair! Oh, and the whole no-part-hairstyle thing? So hard to pull off. Overall, we give this look five and a half stars – utterly high fashion, in all the best ways.
