In the spirit of full disclosure, it's easy for writers, editors, bloggers, and even yoga teachers, wellness practitioners and healers to espouse concepts like self-love and self-confidence on the Internet. It can be a lot harder to transfer the concept of "staying in your power" from the world of social media to reality.

I'm not immune to it either; in fact, I'd be lying if I said I haven't written articles on how to love yourself when, as a person with high-functioning anxiety, I don't always feel so hot myself.

That's why I, like many others, know firsthand that boosting your confidence when you're in a slump can feel like an impossible feat. And I'm also here to tell you that rut you're in won't last. But it's going to take work. You're going to have to show up for yourself every single day. I did it, and I'm still in the process of doing it. So are many others.

If you feel lost, if you feel small, if you feel like you're "not enough," this one's for you — and it's for me too. It's a reminder that real confidence is never about others. It's for you, and it takes regular practice to become your best, fiercest, and most confident self. Don't forget it.
