I hope I don't discredit myself as a style writer by typing out these words, but I never have owned a white button down shirt. It's not that I don't like the closet staple—we've proven it's a versatile piece that can be worn in more ways than one—it's just that in the past I've never found one with the right fit for me.

As a girl who carries much of her weight in her midsection, it's always kind of been a Goldilocks situation. It's either way too oversized and boyfriend fit to the point where I feel frumpy or it's too structured and buttoned-up where I'm not exactly comfortable with the figure-hugging shape. Luckily for me I've found the porridge that's juuust right in Tradlands

The first time I slipped on one of the brand's Oxfords and worked my way up the buttons, I could instantly feel that this shirt was going to be a game changer in my wardrobe. The brand, which specializes in menswear staples for women, focuses on fit and quality and it shows. The made-in-the-USA pieces are crafted out of sturdy materials that are meant to last a lifetime and accompany you on all of your adventures. Right now I'm styling the Ashburn ($167) into my weekly rotation of outfits and am supremely satisfied with the not-too-big, not-too-small relaxed construction.

The attention to detail is something you're not going to find in fast fashion retailers. The crisp creations are crafted in small batches so a keen eye can be placed on production to make sure the company is delivering the best possible product. They've set out to create a flattering universal fit, and I'm confident they've met the mark from popovers to short-sleeve styles and shirt dresses.
