Editor's Pick: This Face Jelly Drenches Your Skin with Moisture
When winter got rough, we got this hydrating product.
Throughout winter, I found myself suffering from a bout of uber-dry skin. Yes, I know it's a plague of many, but as someone who tests out no less than three new skincare products on her face each night, my skin was put through the ringer. After suffering from unsightly flaky skin for far too long, I knew I had to upgrade from my usual moisturizer—this winter was getting the best of me.
That's when I discovered the power of Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly ($23). This gooey product resembled something from a high school science experiment rather than skincare, but after one pump, I was hooked.
The super-hydrating jelly works in a unique way. There's the PatcH2O, a micro-network moisture complex designed to penetrate the skin with fast-absorbing ingredients; the Fucogel, an ingredient I learned helps create a protective film on the skin’s surface to help lock all the moisture in; and finally, let's not forget the star of the show, hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid earns its keep in my book by its ability to deliver major hydration while stimulating collagen for plumper-looking skin.
As far as application, I use only a pump or two of the Hydraluron because the jelly spreads and has more of a soothing serum-type texture. Although I focused this usage primarily around my driest spots, for anyone looking to increase overall skin nourishment, this product is great for a final step in skincare.
Needless to say, winter wind and my nightly cocktail of skincare products didn't stand a chance at making my face flake again with Hydraluron in tow.
