Use Nail Polish Remover To Hide Cold Soars
Because of the acetone in nail polish remover, some DIY beauty gurus have suggested dabbing it onto cold sores in order to minimize them. And while it might work, that doesn't make it a good idea.

First of all, you can accidentally ingest it. Secondly, you can get an allergic reaction or have the chemicals irritate your skin, causing a bigger sore then you started with. Just let nature take its course and cover up with foundation instead.
