Unboxing Glossybox: Do You Subscribe to Beauty Sampling Services?

The other day, out of nowhere, a GlossyBox landed on my desk. What's GlossyBox? It's a subscription beauty sampling service—similar to Birchbox, Beauty Army, and the NewBeauty Test Tube—that, for a fixed fee each month, provides subscribers with deluxe-size samples (and even some full-size products).

If you're as obsessed with trying new beauty products as we are here at StyleBistro HQ, then you'll appreciate subscriptions like GlossyBox. Check out our unboxing photos—and find out what's inside, plus more details, this way...

The first thing you see when you pop open the logo-covered mailer is mini magazine filled with seasonal tips. Mysteriously, though, while the magazine features plenty of product, it doesn't feature the products that come in the box. Hm.

The suspense is killing us...

Every GlossyBox comes beautifully wrapped—complete with a pink ribbon! There's also a description card with details on the samples, along with prices (for full-size product).

And here's what we got in our GlossyBox: an Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra-Gel sample; a Burberry Beauty Lip Mist Natural sheer mini-lipstick in "Copper"; a travel-size Marvis toothpaste; a Phyto Phytojojoba Intense Hydrating Mask  for dry hair; and a full-size Zoya Summer 2012 orange nail polish from the Beach and Surf Collection.

A GlossyBox subscription costs $220 a year for 12 boxes—that breaks down to about $18 a box. Also available: six-month subscriptions for $115 and month-to-month no-commitment subscriptions for $21/month.

Do you participate in a beauty sample subscription service? Would you ever?
