All the beautiful people came out to play on the, um, blue carpet this weekend at VH1's Do Something Awards 2012, but five celebs caught—and held!—our attention with their breathtaking beauty and awe-inducing hairstyles. (Like Kristen Bell's, gorgeous braid, above!)
We already brought you the best-dressed at the event, now here are our top-five favorite beauty and hair looks of the night:
Lea Michele's ombre locks: We know it's darn near impossible to tear your eyes away from Glee star—but whoa does Lea Michele's hair look incredible! (Wait, what did you think we were talking about?) The ombre trend's had a serious moment for a few seasons now, but we think Michele truly reinvigorated the fade with these dramatic mermaid waves and wispy bangs.
Keke Palmer's red-orange lip: While most stars went loud and proud with bold prints and intricate hair-dos, Palmer opted for minimalism at its finest—especially when it came to her beauty routine. She proved you can never go wrong with a gentle sweep of mascara and subtle-yet-statement-making orangey-red pout.
Olivia Munn's polka-dot nails: We're major suckers for nail art around here, and think Munn's fun mani totally hit the spot! The classic black-and-white combination kept the paint job appropriate for the red carpet and added extra pizzaz to her swirly pink frock.
Sophia Bush's natural makeup: Sophia Bush made a fresh-faced appearance, letting her dramatic, full fringe do all the talking. Complementing those hello-there statement earrings, her foundation was flawless, her cheeks dewy and glowing, and her lips a creamy barely-there beige.
Kristen Bell's half-braided updo: Braids seem to be pretty much everywhere these days. We're going to thank Pinterest for that one. (Not that we're complaining!) Never, though, have we seen a braid this creative and mesmerizing. It starts as a French braid, then messily curves its way down the back with a few small twists rounding out the look. It's love, right?
