Since her abrupt departure from the helm of Vogue Paris in January 2011, the fashion world has waited with bated breath for living-legend editor Carine Roitfeld's next professional move.
Roitfeld's every movement over the past 18 months has been carefully chronicled by industry-watchers—from the publication, last fall, of Irreverent, a retrospective of her creative work, by Rizzoli, to her extensive styling collaborations with V Magazine, which included styling three different covers for the Stephen Gan-helmed fashion bible.
All the while, Roitfeld has been working on a new magazine title of her very own—and this morning, she released one image from the upcoming CR, from the issue that's set to debut September 13th, during New York Fashion Week. Check it out, above.
What is it? Why, it's a model, naked and draped in a purple veil, walking through a cemetery, of course.
Currently the digital copy of the premiere issue of CR can be pre-ordered online for $5. What do you think of this image? Are you excited to see what Carine Roitfeld does next? Are you planning on getting a digital copy or print copy of her new magazine? Tell us in the comments.
