Would You Wear These 3D-Printed Shoes?

Super-innovative fashion-technology company Continuum Fashion has launched Strvct, its first range of 3D-printed shoes.

What's a 3D printer, you ask? Well, imagine a printer—like, yes, that printer in your office that spits things out onto sheets of paper—but, instead of ink-and-paper 2D print-outs, it produces a 3D model out of thin air.

No, seriously, it sounds like something straight out of Ironman, but these printers really do exist—they're regularly used in engineering, sculpture, architecture, and product design studios and institutions of higher education.

Anyway, so the brains at Continuum decided to load up their 3D printer with super-strong (but lightweight) nylon to create these amazing 3D shoes—that are totally wearable, by the way.

Check out this Goth-y pair:

According to a report in Gizmag, the shoes are available for purchase in a variety of colors and styles—and will cost you about $900 a pop.
