Guybrows: A Cautionary Tale

Guybrows: A Cautionary Tale For most women, it only seems to take one serious tweezer mishap in our formative years to figure out the importance of eyebrows. For me, it took nearly eradicating them from my face (mid-'90s Drew Barrymore style) to learn this painful (and yearbook picture ruining) lesson.

Unfortunately for men, it seems the path to understanding how to appropriately groom and handle one's brows isn't always so clear cut. How else can we explain the plethora of uni-brows, face caterpillars, peculiarly high arches and daddy long leg brows (aka grandpa eyebrows) plaguing the streets?

Here's the deal: Presumably nobody wants to look like Burt, right? But there is a fine line between fixing a uni-brow and winding up with such perfectly sculpted brows that even Olivia Wilde wants to know who your waxer is.

If you're born with say, Peter Gallagher or Colin Farrell type brows, a little trimming and tweezing is pretty much all you can do without (pardon the pun), raising people's eyebrows.

If you're unhappy with how thin or pale your brows are, do not even think about dabbling in pencils and dyes, lest you want to look like this.
