At some point over the past few years, men decided it was time to start baring their clavicles and cleavage. It's hard to say who gave this style the green light, but I think we can all agree it's time for it to stop.

Much like the dreaded mank, the Deep V (or as some call it the deep vomit), says so much about the wearer. Even if you're not a total skeeze, wearing a plunging neckline sets off major red flags. And if the T-shirt happens to be pastel? Fuggedaboutit.

Still not convinced by how damaging the wrong shirt choice can be? Let's take a look at what happens when three famous dudes attempt the look.

The usually dreamy Ed Westwick takes a turn for the icky in his ridiculously open shirt, Joey Lawrence makes us go "whoa" in all the wrong ways, and not even Maksim Chmerkovskiy's muscles can distract us from his borderline obsession with the Deep V.

The moral of the story is that it's time to put the man cleave and chest hair away. And FYI, if crewnecks aren't your thing, we never heard of anyone getting creeped out by the mini V.
