Now that you're on board with the awesomeness that is matcha, it's time to learn how to make it. Traditionally, matcha is made during a tea ceremonies using very specific bowls, utensils, and exact water temperatures. That being said, you can easily modify that process to better accommodate your time and resources — though getting one of these bamboo whisks (chasen) is easy and recommended.

Using a sifter to avoid clumps, add 1-2 teaspoons of matcha power to a bowl or large mug. Add a small amount of hot (not boiling) water to the bowl and use the whisk to blend together. Once it's properly blended, add more hot water and briskly whisk in an 'M' motion until small bubbles form at the surface and the drink becomes frothy. Enjoy!
