Riccardo Tisci Defends Kim Kardashian's Met Ball Dress, Drops Kimye Engagement Bomb

The floral glove-dress Kim Kardashian wore to the Met Ball may have been one of the comfier-looking things she's been photographed in recently, but it didn't exactly land her on any best-dressed lists (Our reaction: "Either Givenchy artistic director Riccardo Tisci, who created the look specially for Kardashian really hates Kim Kardashian or he had a serious lapse in judgment as to how to dress a heavily-pregnant person who's known for her decidedly mainstream [read: sexy] look.")

But Riccardo Tisci is standing by the design, which the internet has dubbed a "Mrs. Doubtfire dress" (Robin Williams's response: "I think I wore it better!"), and a "couch," thanks to its granny-esque cabbage rose print.

"I wanted to have a Kim Kardashian moment, because Kim always supports me," Tisci told WWD. "She is the future wife of a really good friend of mine. I wanted to have a moment of family…Kim, Kanye and the baby. It will be a family that I will be close to...People can say what they want. To me, pregnancy is the most beautiful thing in the world, and when you celebrate something, you give people flowers. I think she looked amazing. She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I dressed in my career.”

Okay, his defense is actually very sweet. But...does this mean Kim and Kanye are engaged? What if the purpose of those glove-sleeves was to hide a ring?
