In other in-flight news, one airline has found a solution to getting passengers to pay attention to the required safety demonstration; in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, Air New Zealand has partnered with the magazine on an instuctional video, which will show during flights, starring some of their infamous supermodels. Another fashion icon celebrating the magazine’s anniversary is Barbie; though the doll's latest S.I.-inspired get-up has received some criticism, Mattel defends unapologetically. [Ad Age]

Barbie is not the only beloved children's character making headlines; Miss Piggy would never let her hog (pun intended) the spotlight. The muppet may finally tie the knot with her on-again, off-again love Kermit the Frog. The alleged bride even enlisted the help of Vivienne Westwood to create a couture bridal gown for the big day.
