Karl Lagerfeld's Metiers D'Art Chanel runway shows are known for their far-flung, exotic settings — think Moscow, Scottish castles, and that bastion of fancypants-ness — Versailles.

But this year, Lagerfeld has his sights set on Dallas. Apparently, he loves Texas! Who knew?

"I love Texas. I love Texans," the designer said at this week's WWD CEO summit. "There’s another reason. When Chanel reopened, the French press was beyond nasty. The only press that understood it immediately was the American press, and Neiman Marcus gave her the Oscar for her collection, so I think it’s a nice thing to go there."

Since the show probably won't happen until December, we can only speculate what wonderful Texas-themed Chanel accessories Karl will dream up. Tweed chaps? Quilted leather cowboy boots with little pearl studs? Leave your best guesses in the comments!
