Charlotte Olympia's Kitty Flats Just Got a Punk Makeover

Charlotte Olympia's kitty flats — beloved by squeaky clean celebrities like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry — have spent the past six months in their garage, hanging out with older, cooler shoes, learning how to play the bass, and recording two-minute songs with lots of yowls and meows.

They just emerged, looking slightly more badass (not too much more — they are kitty flats after all) with their new, safety pin nose ring.

Okay, fine. The real reason for the piercing? Charlotte Olympia and jewelry designer Tom Binns have teamed up on an accessories collection to coincide with the Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Punk: From Chaos to Couture" exhibit.

Starting May 2nd, the safety-pin-heavy lineup will be available for purchase on, as well as in the designer’s brick-and-mortar shops in London and New York.
