10. Stars Hollow
It just seems like such a magical, friendly place, doesn't it? Well, turns out Stars Hollow is grounded in real Connecticut towns. After Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino stayed at the Mayflower Grace in rural Washington, Connecticut, while on vacay, she fell in love with its quintessential New England charm. Then, while traveling through the state, she slowly began to conceive of the fictional town of Stars Hollow, where so many of Rory and Lorelai's witty, fast-talking shenanigans take place.
