You know what they say—if you find a look that works, stick with it. And stick with it Ariana Grande has. For the majority of her public appearances in 2013, whether her strands were styled curly, pin-straight, or wavy, the adorable singer wore the exact same half-up, half-down hairstyle. That's serious dedication.

Granted, she stepped outside of her coiffured comfort zone and switched it up a couple of times. Ariana wore her hair in a textured blowout earlier this month...

...and topped her signature 'do off with a colorful bejeweled headband back in April.

But for the most part, she stuck with old faithful. If you like her 'poodle ponytail,' below are a few tips to get the look.

1) Insert a short part on the left side, and brush your bangs down and around behind the ear.

2) Pull half of your hair into a ponytail that sits just beneath your crown, slightly over to the left.

3) Take a small section of hair and wrap it around the base to hide the elastic.

4) Tease the roots of the hair that's left hanging down.

5) Sling most of your strands over your left shoulder.

6) Bonus-look-like-Ariana-trick: Put one hand on your hip, then tilt your head to the side and smile!
