Amy Childs' side-swept 'do is a fun, voluminous style to try for a formal function, like prom. A set of hot rollers or a medium-barreled curling iron will help give tresses a curly texture and a hair donut will allow you to get a lot of volume if your locks aren't very long.

Below I've listed step-by-step instructions for recreating Amy's look. I've also included a video found on youtube that demonstrates a similar style without including a hair donut.

1. Set hair on hot rollers or curl two-inch sections if hair isn't naturally curly or wavy.

2. Section out bangs and a one-inch section framing the face.

3. Draw the rest of the hair into a side ponytail, securing it with a hair elastic slightly above and behind one ear.

4. Slip the hair donut over the ponytail and secure it at the base.

5. Backcomb the ponytail slightly to create volume.

6. Begin taking two-inch sections of the ponytail, looping the pieces and pinning them around the hair donut.

7. Keep looping and pinning two-inch pieces from the ponytail all over the side of the head. Spread the small sections out to cover as much surface and to create as much volume as possible.

8. When all the hair from the ponytail has been styled, smooth bangs and face-framing strands and sweep them over to the side, then mist the completed 'do with hairspray.
