Helene de Pourtalès
This was the second woman to ever win a medal at the Olympic Games, also competing in the 1900 Summer Games in Paris that Abbott golfed in.

It was the first time women were able to compete, and De Pourtalès joined the men's sailing team and won both gold and silver medals. That year only 22 women competed. Twelve years later, nearly five thousand did.
