2. Talk about your past resolutions
Before you dive into helping your kids pick their goals for the year, take a moment to talk about resolutions you've picked in the past and how you worked to meet them, (or, how you keep working towards them!). It helps for kids to hear how you've set goals and made the practice part of your yearly ritual.

And, of course, if this is your first year making resolutions, that's great, too! Instead talk about why you decided to start. Inspiring your kids to follow by example is a powerful tool.
