12. Start a behavior goal for school
Whether your child misbehaves or doesn't participate in class, behavior goals for school are a great way to start the new year. For greatest success, make the goals measurable, like remembering to raise your hand until you get called on at least one time a day, or not getting any negative consequences for at least one day a week. Start small so your child can taste success instead of making her feel like she blew it if the goal is extremely challenging to meet.
