What are some of your personal favorite self-care practices?
I like to get in at least 20 minutes of exercise everyday, something that makes me move and ideally sweat. And just finding small ways to integrate self-care into my life, like walking to get a coffee and feeling the sun. It's easy to eat lunch at my desk, or to work until 10 pm, and not take a minute to get off my phone or computer and spend a minute with myself. Preparing food for myself feels like amazing self-care. It feels like a creative act and like I'm really nourishing myself. Even going to the grocery store and picking out beautiful fruit — that is a very visual, sensual thing that feels like you're investing in yourself.
