She Sent A 'Message Of Goodwill' To The Moon
During the Apollo 11 moon landing back in 1969, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin carried — and left behind — a silicon disk on its surface. The tiny disk contained messages of peace and goodwill from many world leaders. According to Telegraph, the Queen's message to the Moon read: "On behalf of the British people I salute the skill and courage which have brought man to the moon. May this endeavour increase the knowledge and well being of mankind."
