USA's Defense Intelligence Agency: 'Makeup Makes You More Attractive'
(Courtesy of Annapurna) Jessica Chastain stars as a CIA agent whose sole mission is to track and find Osama Bin Laden, oh yeah and she wore make up.

In a recent presentation by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the matter of appearances was adderssed. Employees were told "make up makes you more attractive" and to "paint your nails." They were also instructed not to be afraid of color, to ban flats, and that "a sweater with a skirt is better than a sweater with slacks."

This presentation came just a week after it was announced that women could finally serve in combat. But the message of "don't be a plain Jane" was not one that set well with employees thought.

The DIA's public affairs officer, Susan Strednansky responded by saying that it was an informal presentation that was meant to offer suggestions to employees on how to dress for success in the workplace.

The DIA director Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn also had something to say about the matter. He sent an apology letter to employees saying that the presentation was "highly offensive," but that it was given with the best intentions. "Even smart people do dumb things sometimes," Flynn said in the letter. He also added that no one responsible for the presentation will face a serious penalty for this, just a stern counseling in thinking before acting.
