Everybody knows that 2013 is The Year of Beyonce—and this spring and summer, mega-retailer H&M tapped the superstar for its warm-weather campaigns, featuring the singer in a series of ads that launched in March.

Of course, Beyonce looks gorgeous in the photos—like this one, for example:

But, according to reports, there's a whole drama-filled backstory.

In today's Page Six, sources say that a first pass at Beyonce's H&M campaign never saw the light of day—because the singer hated what the art directors and photo retouchers on the job did to her curves.

"When Beyonce found out that they had edited the way her body really looked, she hit the roof," the source says. "She's a true diva and was furious that she had been given such a snubbing. Her people refused to give the pictures the green light so H&M were forced to use the originals."

Kudos to Beyonce to standing up for herself! Seriously, guys, why employ a real human being if you're just going to Photoshop her body into oblivion?
