Naomi Campbell Speaks Out About Her Attack, Sort Of...

Last week, contradicting reports surfaced on why supermodel Naomi Campbell had been hobbling around on crutches for the past month.

Sleuthy sources for Page Six claimed the supe had been attacked and mugged in Paris, but was staying mum about the situation due to a pending investigation. Reporters at the Daily Mail got wind of the story, though, and did their own digging—finding no evidence or police records documenting the attack.

Well, now we finally have some clues! Er, sort of...

Yesterday while promoting her new model competition show, The Face, at a Television Critics Association press conference, Campbell, who initially refused to comment on the story, spoke out, reports Page Six. She said, “I had an injury of my knee and I am on the mend. I cannot discuss any further as there is an investigation.”

While it wasn't exactly a direct yes-I-was-mugged confirmation, if there is, indeed, an investigation happening, then it certainly seems Page Six's original story was true, or at least has some sort of merit to it.

We're still just glad she's okay—and finally back up on her feet. Even if she is just wearing flats. What do you think about the whole ordeal? And did you watch the trailer for The Face—thoughts? Let us know in the comments!
