Sips and Tips: A Crisp Cidre and Striped-Tip Mani
This cidre and striped mani combo are perfect for your next barbecue.
With Memorial Day fast approaching, chances are barbecues, rooftops and picnics are on the brain. To go with your outdoor attire and summer escape, we called in our friends at Stella Artois for a crisp and refreshing drink. The Stella Artois Cidre is a crisp European-style cider made with hand-picked apples that will go with any summertime soirée. To go with the sweet treat, we called in Q-Tips nail pro Ria Lopez to create a custom-designed mani, perfect for any summer shindig.
The Sip: Stella Artois Cidre
The Tip: The Striped-Tip Mani
Essie Jelly Apple ($9) or red polish
Hail Nails Cheddar ($14) or yellow polish
Striping brush ($10)
Prep nails before beginning to provide a clean surface. Apply basecoat. Next use the striping brush to define the negative space with the yellow color. Fill in the remaining tip of the nail with yellow. Use the striping brush to make four small stripes in the red color. Create the stripes at the edge of the yellow color and the negative space, two in the middle and one on the edge. Fill in the top stripe portion with red color. Clean up any excess polish with a Q-Tips Precision Tips swab. Finish with a topcoat, and you're done.
