If you want to be a fashion It Girl, you'll need to read Alexa Chung's forthcoming book It (out October 29). But if you just want to be the British model-turned-international personality on October 31, all you need to do is stick with us for the rest of this post.
Chung is known for exuding a tomboy-goes-gamine style all her own that defies replication. But we've noticed that there are a few recurring characteristics to her uniform; namely, the girl likes a denim onepiece—be it a romper, a jumper or overalls. Balance that sartorial base with classic staples such as tortoiseshell shades (bonus points for rocking men's shades—it's somehow cooler) and a Greta Garbo-worthy khaki trench. Then finish with a crucial accessory or two to tip people off: a copy of her style guide for starters, and a friend dressed as a paparazzo, just to drive the point home.
