1. Make sure basic needs are met
Teachers know sleepy or hungry kids aren't going to be able to give their best at school, (that's why they hide so many snacks behind their desks!). When your child's mood begins to shift, ask yourself whether her basic sleep and food needs have been met. If the answer is no, start there and make an effort to keep your kids rested and fed before the negative behaviors begin.
