18. Party Aprons
You'd wear your dress aprons on normal days, but what on earth would you don if you were hosting a party? Why, a party apron of course! These beauties were made out of delicate materials like organdy and chinz, and would stain terribly so they weren't very practical in the kitchen. Because of that, you would only put them on after all the cooking was done and it was time to serve the guests - it was more of a show of domesticity than a functioning garment.
