Garance Doré Launches a Stationery Line, We Swoon
The French blogger and illustrator partnered with Rifle Paper Co. to create a trés chic paper-goods collection.
Garance Doré may be best known as the French blogger behind her eponymous site, garancedore.fr (not to mention the girlfriend of Scott Schuman, the street-style photographer behind The Sartorialist), but the multi-talented photographer and author actually got her start as an illustrator. In fact, the Corsica-born artist initially launched her blog in June 2006 as a way of sharing her sketches with a wider audience, and they continue to accompany her musings about fashion, beauty and everyday life.
While her fashionable illustrations have since graced high-profile publications such as Elle UK and Paris Vogue, where she has a monthly column, Doré has always dreamed of creating her own stationery line—and today, that desire becomes a reality as she debuts her paper-goods collection, created with the help of artisan brand Rifle Paper Co. (a StyleBistro fave).
The range includes greeting cards ($4.50–$18), phone cases ($34–$36), desk calendars ($12), notepads ($9–$10), notebooks ($15), and stationery sets ($22) featuring Doré's illustrated designs that capture the endearing insouciance that her loyal readers adore her for (to see what we mean, check out the video below, in which she goes traipsing around Paris Fashion Week and demonstrates applying "makeup in the middle of nowhere").
Perhaps even more exciting, the launch coincides with the debut of Doré's new e-commerce site, garancedoregoods.com, where you'll find her art posters, prints, and, of course, the entire collaborative stationery line, as well as a curated selection of fashion and beauty items (such as Common Projects perforated-leather slip-on sneakers and Rodin Olio Lusso luxury face oil) that she personally selected.
