The gold and diamond tiara Victoria Beckham had commissioned for her 1999 wedding to soccer stud David Beckham went up on the auction block yesterday. And guess what? It didn't sell.
The petite yet fabulous (duh) tiara was created by Irish jewelry designer Slim Barrett and appeared in the 100 Tiaras, Past And Present show at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The 18-carat yellow gold crown is set with brilliant-cut diamonds and features suspended diamond drops. It was put up for sale as part of an auction of fine jewelery in London but unfortunately did not fetch the expected £18,000 and £25,000 (that's about $29,4000 - $40,800).
Perhaps now that Kate Middleton was spotted wearing a tiara, the market will resurface? Then again, maybe not.
